Features of Forest Conservation in Azerbaijan: Management, monitoring and prevention

Abstract

This article examines the specific features of the implementation of forestry measures carried out in Azerbaijan. In this context, the general characteristics of the forest resources were highlighted, including issues relating to the cultivation, use, and protection of forest resources. The structure of the Republic’s land holdings, together with the corresponding percentage breakdown, was presented here. In this context, particular attention was paid to the structure of forestry management in the Republic and to the specific features of the measures implemented to protect and ensure the sustainable development of forest stands. In addition, the study also carries out a comparative analysis of forest conservation in Azerbaijan and the Republic of Georgia, which is reflected in the relevant trends.
